Vince Staples Admits Dating Isn’t Working Because He’s Mean
Dating in the 21st century can be hard, especially when you believe that honesty is the best policy. Compton, Calif. native Vince Staples has encountered trouble in the dating department because of that logic. Vince sat down with BigBoyTV for an interview yesterday (Nov. 7), where he discussed his recent dating troubles.
When Big Boy asks Vince if he is dating now, the rhymer, who just dropped his new album, FM!, admits that he is despite his lack of success. He explained that his blunt words can come off hurtful to someone who might be insecure.
"Yeah, but it don't really work for me to be real," shared Vince, who will star as a lead role in the upcoming film, Punk. "I'm kind of mean."
In an effort to understand the extent of his "mean" ways, Big Boy gave the example of when a woman asks if she looks fat in an outfit.
"I'ma be like you sound stupid," Vince said. "Why are you asking stupid questions? If you look fat then you are fat and it's cool 'cause we fat right now. If you hate yourself, why are you trying to bring me into it? Don't be trying to use me to help you love yourself."
Elsewhere during the conversation, the rapper discussed the late Mac Miller and the impact of their relationship. "That's my homie, that's my brother. I know his mama, his brother, his father, his grandma, I know his whole family," Vince said.
More recently, Vince performed at Mac's tribute concert on Oct. 31 alongside Ty Dolla $ign, J.I.D, Chance The Rapper and more.
