Top 5 Non-Local Businesses That Locals Want To Come To Bozeman

In what certainly isn't Breaking News, the last couple of years Bozeman and Gallatin Country are experiencing record growth.

People from all over are moving in, and with that, so are non-local businesses. While we still have our fair share of locally owned businesses here in Bozeman, what non-local business would we actually like to see come to town? Or does the idea of another out-of-state business not appeal to folks here in Bozeman?

We thought we'd ask, and you answered.

We posted the question up on our social media pages, and tons of folks made their opinion known with a few hundred comments. One thing is for sure, people in Bozeman have pretty strong feelings about a few non-local businesses that they would love to see come to Bozeman.

So, what are the Top 5 non-local businesses that locals want to see come to Bozeman? Let's get to it.

Red Lobster

I'll be honest with you, I'm a huge fan of those cheddar bay biscuits.  I mean, talk about a little piece of heaven, right? So it really isn't a surprise that a bunch of Bozemanites would love for Red Lobster to come to Bozeman. Red Lobster can be found all around the United States, however, the only one in Montana is over in Billings.

In-N-Out Burgers

What started out as a local California business has become world-famous and has started moving into different western states.  In-N-Out has locations in California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Texas, and Colorado. In-N-Out is known for its burgers, fries, and shakes. Known for terms like the "double-double", "animal style", and the "secret menu", the restaurant has become a place where people flock to have a fantastic burger.  Plus, In-N-Out doesn't break the bank when it comes to prices. Will an In-N-Out ever make its way to Bozeman?  Well, one can only hope.

Dutch Bros Coffee

I'll be honest with you, I wouldn't know good coffee from bad coffee as I don't drink it, but I know that a whole lot of folks do.  Here in Bozeman, we certainly have our fair share of Coffee Shops, however, Bozemanites would love to see Dutch Bros Coffee set up shop here in Bozeman. Dutch Bros started in Oregon as a "pushcart" business back in the early 90s. They offer coffee, but they also offer up some pretty cool variations that people rave about.

Chick-fil-A

I have to tell you, this was the second most requested non-local business that locals want to see come to Bozeman, and with good reason.  Chick-fil-A is famous for chicken sandwiches, in fact, they're probably the most famous chicken sandwiches in America.  The company started off in Georgia and has expanded all across the U.S.  Chick-fil-A has a location in Kalispell and ground was broken last fall in Missoula to build one there. We've all heard rumors that one is coming to Bozeman, but there is nothing official from the company, so as of now...they're still rumors.

Trader Joe's

By far, the most requested non-local business that locals want to come to Bozeman is Trader Joe's. Trader Joe's is a grocery store that has been around since 1967 and offers a whole lot of fun and unique items that you won't find at other grocery stores.  According to their website, the folks at Trader Joe's travel the world to find the best products and put them on their shelves. Currently, there are no Trader Joe's in Montana.  The closest stores are either in Boise or Spokane according to the locations map on their website.

There were a ton of other suggestions as well. Businesses like Sonic, Panera Bread, Best Buy, Red Robin, and Cafe Rio just to name a few.  Folks would also like to see some places for family fun, like mini-golf, go-carts, and batting cages.
