Three Dead in New Jersey Supermarket Shooting [VIDEO]
A disgruntled employee entered a Pathmark supermarket in Old Bridge, New Jersey at 4:30 this morning and shot and killed two people before turning the gun on himself.
One of the victims was reportedly an 18-year-old female. Details on the second victim are unknown. The shooter, 23, allegedly entered the store dressed in body armor. He has been identified as ex-Marine rifleman Terence S. Tyler.
Old Bridge Councilman Richard Greene said he was informed by the mayor that the shooter was a former Marine. He apparently had an argument with coworkers, left the store, went to his car and returned a short time letter, cloaked in camouflage and brandishing an AK-47 and an automatic pistol.
Employees noticed his actions and locked the doors, but a source said he shot out the windows and went inside, killing two people. He then killed himself.
It is believed that Tyler worked at the store for about two weeks and had a history of depression and mental illness.
Details are unfolding and the story is still developing.
It’s the second fatal shooting in the New York area in a week. Last week, another disgruntled man in Manhattan killed a former co-worker near the Empire State Building before he was killed, as well.
