Man's best friend can be very costly.

The Gallatin Valley is a huge dog community with fantastic parks, events and more all centered around our furry friends but what is the actual cost of owning a dog?

Rover.com broke down the costs of what it costs monthly and annually to own a dog and it's interesting.

Some people think it costs around $25-75 dollars a month to own a dog but actually it's about $153 according to Rover. That's including food, treats, medications, poop bags and more.

Also, the annual cost of a dog can be around $3,370 including check ups, one time needs(microchips, bed, etc.).

That's a hefty price but it's definitely worth it. Dogs are the best.
