Like many people at home social distancing, we are constantly thinking of things to do to keep the kids and ourselves entertained and busy.  I don't want my family in front of the TV or online all day wasting time.  So I thought I would share some of the things we have been doing and would LOVE ideas you have that I can implement with the family.

  • Exercise (I make a game of it with obstacles to challenge the kids while going to check the mailbox or picking up items in the yard).
  • Turn to Pinterest for D.I.Y. and inspired upcycling ideas.
  • Write reviews for your Amazon purchases. My wife has no problem sharing feedback!
  • Skype or Face Time with someone you don’t normally see.  Grandma loves it!
  • Bake some cookies.  I should share my daughters latest recipe!

  • Make a collage with magazines and newspapers sitting around the house. Hang it for cheap, D.I.Y. temporary wall art.
  • If you know an instrument, play it.
  • Brew and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea (we have grown some mint indoors recently).
  • Run diagnostic, clean up, and maintenance tasks on your computer, such as running an antivirus software and making sure your computer is completely up to date.
  • Organize a cluttered area of your house, such as your closet or your junk drawers. It’s cathartic and sometimes fun going through your belongings and paring down to only those that you need and use.
  • As mentioned above, feel free to add your entertaining ideas to stay busy.
