These Guys Prove Grenade Fishing Is Not a Good Idea
Generally speaking, the fisherman/fish dynamic is stacked heavily in favor of the guy with the hook. The relationship would seem even more unequal when the angler is dropping a grenade into the water.
However, there are occasions in which grenade fishing poses as much of a risk to the hunter as it does to prey. See what we mean in this video from Russia.
Looks like they didn’t understand the grenade’s timing mechanism or they got a weapon with a short fuse.
Luckily, it doesn’t appear that the fishermen were seriously injured. We can’t speak for any close-to-the-surface fish, however.
To dig up an old Yakov Smirnoff joke, we think the lesson here is that in Soviet Russia, you don't throw grenade, grenade throws you.
