It's that time of year, it's March Madness and for the second year in a row, the Montana State Bobcats are going dancing.

One of the things that make the NCAA Tournament so popular is that almost anything can happen.  Every year we see underdogs come up big and shock the basketball world, which is why a whole lot of folks that might not follow college basketball during the regular season, totally tune in during the tournament.

Now that we know who we're playing and where let's talk about some other important factors that every Bobcat fan should know before the big game this Friday.

Game Time

The game will take place this Friday night from Greensboro North Carolina and will air nationally on CBS at 7:40 pm our time and will be broadcast on KBZK.  You can also listen to the radio broadcast on 1450 KMMS-AM.

Seeding

Montana State is the 14th seed in the Eastern Division of the tournament and will take on the 3rd seed, Kansas State.  For the record, 22 different 14 seeds have beaten 3 seeds since 1985.

How The Bobcats Made It To The Dance

Montana State won the Big Sky Conference Tournament, which gives them an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.  It's the 5th time the Cats have been to the NCAA Tournament, and the first time in school history they've been selected in back-to-back years.

How The Wildcats Made It To The Dance

The Wildcats finished 3rd in the Big 12 this year, which was good enough to earn a 3 seed.  The biggest victory for the Wildcats this season came on January 17th when they beat the defending National Champion Kansas Jayhawks. K-State finished the regular season with a record of 23-8 and ranked 12th in the AP Top 25 Poll.

It's the Bobcats taking on the Wildcats this Friday night with the winner advancing to the 2nd round on Sunday.
