Montana is a great place to visit all year long, however, it seems that Montana in the summertime tends to bring out the tourists.
It makes sense when you think about it, whether you're an avid outdoors person who loves to fish, hike, and spend time in nature, or if you and the family decide to load up in the SUV or the minivan and head to one of our National Parks, it seems like Montana has something for everyone.
So, with all of the possibilities, how do you narrow it down to just 10? Well, that's certainly a tall task, but we did it with the help of our friends over at Trip Advisor.

10. Lake McDonald
It might come as a bit of a surprise that this very popular attraction is ranked 10th, the lake which sees hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. The lake, which is located inside of Glacier National Park is just one of the many treasures that the Park offers.
9. Gates of Montana
This popular destination which is located on the Missouri River is just north of Helena and comes in 9th on the list. They offer boat trips which include a history lesson of the area and it's something the tourist seem to enjoy.
8. Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center
If you've ever traveled across the midwest and western part of the country, you've no doubt seen all of the Lewis and Clark Historical Markers. Located in Giant Springs Heritage State Park is the Lews and Clark Interpretive Center which is filled with cool history about the westward expansion.
7. Grinnell Glacier
Grinnell Glacier is simply stunning. From the beautiful mountains that surround it to the incredible color of the water. Located in Glacier National Park, the Glacier is not only a site to see, but a science lesson all in one and comes in 7th on the Trip Advisor Top 10.
6. Beartooth Highway
Considered by many to be the most scenic road in America, the Beartooth is a legendary highway that is only open for a short period each year. However, if you have the chance to travel the road, it's certainly something you should put on your bucket list.
5. Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument
This historic Battlefield has certainly seen a lot of blood spilled as Custard made his last stand against the Plain Indians. There are different options available, from guided tours to touring the area at your own pace.
4. Museum of the Rockies
Located in Bozeman, the Museum of the Rockies is a must-see. From rotating exhibits to one of the largest dinosaur bone collections in the nation, the Museum is a popular summer destination. Plus, during the summer months, you have a chance to visit the outdoor exhibit which shows what life was like in the early days of Montana.
3. Playmill Theatre
Located in West Yellowstone, the Playmill Theatre is the perfect spot to take the family. The Theatre offers multiple shows and is great for those in the area that are visiting Yellowstone National Park.
2. Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center
Also located in West Yellowstone, the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center offers visitors a chance to see some of Montana's native creatures up close and personal in a safe manner. (No petting the furry cows here) It's a great stop for family or individuals that you will be sure to remember.
1. Going-To-The-Sun Road
Located in Glacier National Park this world-famous road is not for the faint of heart, especially if you have a fear of heights, over the views from the road are some of the most spectacular in the world. The road is only open for a few months, and for those who might not be up to driving, there are bus tours available.
Of course, there are several more spots to see and explore here in Big Sky Country, and when you do, you will soon realize why it's called "The Last Best Place."
