Night Sky to Feature a Comet and Meteor Showers
It might be cold outside but it's the best time to see some amazing spectacles in the night sky.
According to the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, next week on December 13 and 14 you can view the Geminids meteor shower. It will start around midnight and go until about 4:30 a.m. both days and will feature between 100 to 120 meteors per hour.
Also, on December 16 you can view Comet 46P/Wirtanen with an unaided eye. This will be one of the best comets to view all year long in the night sky.
