High Wind Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories are covering much of Montana, some lasting well into Saturday. Some higher elevations might get TWO FEET of fresh snow, along with dangerously high winds. Travel is going to be an issue at times.

Until about noon on Wednesday, very gusty winds will affect travel on the I-90 corridor between Livingston and Big Timber. Blowing and drifting snow is expected, and high profile vehicles may get blown around a bit.

A very large portion of Montana is under a High Wind Warning or Winter Storm Warning through Monday afternoon. Seriously gusty winds of up to 70 MPH are expected across most of southwest, central, western and northern Montana. Power outages are very possible and damage to trees is expected.

Portions of Montana's are getting pummeled with nasty winds Tuesday. A High Wind Warning is currently in effect for some counties and High Wind Watches are in effect for others. Some areas to the west are also dealing with dangerous avalanche conditions.

Saturday and Sunday will very unpleasant at times for Montana travel, especially through almost all of our mountain passes and high elevation in general. Heavy bands of snow combined with 50+ MPH winds are expected at times which will drop visibility to near zero. Conditions are going to fluctuate rapidly in dozens of Montana counties.

Whoa. Cut Bank, Browning, Heart Butte, and Choteau are going to see some crazy wind gusts through Friday morning. Please use extra caution if you're traveling through any of these areas.

A large area of southwest Montana will get dangerous winds gusts Sunday and Monday. Hazardous travel conditions and power outages from downed branches and trees are possible.

Areas around Browning, Cut Bank and Choteau will be VERY windy on Monday with gusts up to 75 MPH at times. Dangerous traveling conditions may exist east of Glacier National Park.
