Gallatin City-County Health officials are recommending that residents mask up to help slow the spread of COVID-19.

According to the latest information, right around one third of the counties in the state of Montana are now being considered areas of substantial or high transmission. So what does it take to meet the substantial transmission threshold? The CDC says that a positivity rate between 8 percent and 10 percent in the last week qualifies.

They are still being very cautious about the whole situation.
