Students, New and Old, Tell Us Why They Chose Montana State
Choosing a college to attend is a big decision. Whether you want to stay close to home, choose a school based on a certain program, or try something new, there is a college for everyone.
Montana State University welcomed back new & returning students this week, and everyone is in high spirits for the new school year. Yesterday at Catapalooza, we asked students a straightforward question: Why did you choose to go to Montana State University?

The responses we received through our 96.7 KISS FM app were simply amazing!
Carsyn messaged us saying,
The reason why I chose MSU was that the first time I visited Bozeman, I instantly recognized it was an amazing community filled with kind people that I wanted to call home.
Taylor wrote in,
I chose MSU because it was a childhood dream and the beautiful scenery.
Marcy loved the options of Montana State University;
I chose Montana State because of the wide variety of courses available. I have changed my major twice, but I hope to go to medical school.
These are all great reasons to choose Montana State. The university is not only the best in Montana, but one of the best in the Northwest, with incredible research programs and a variety of educational resources--not to mention that famous Bobcat spirit.
When I was in high school, I chose my college based on two facts: they offered a baseball scholarship to me, and it was the furthest away from home. It was an experience I wouldn't change for anything.
So we say to all new and returning students: Welcome to Montana State University!
