Doesn't everyone plan their costumes ahead of time? Or is that just me?

Even though it's still summer, it's never too early to plan what you might want to dress up as for Halloween. Halloween is one of the best holidays because you can either go simple with costumes or go full makeup and scare the daylights out of folks. I am one of the all-out people. One place that can help with costumes, makeup, and lawn decorations is Spirit Halloween.

Spirit Halloween is a costume store that sets up shop starting at the end of September, going until October, and usually sets up in a previously empty storefront. The store has been set up in several places throughout Bozeman in recent years. They've occupied the old Dollar Spree location on Main Street, the building on 19th where Shoe Show is now located, and the current Fred's Furniture location.

This year, because there aren't many open spaces in Bozeman, I've been wondering where Spirit Halloween will set up shop come spooky season. Luckily, they've officially found a spot.

According to Spirit Halloween's website, they will be opening a shop in the old Salvation Army location on Babcock Avenue in downtown Bozeman. The store will be right across the street from the Bozeman Bowl.

This will be the first time Spirit Halloween has opened its store in Downtown Bozeman, and it's a smart move. Downtown Bozeman has ample traffic and fantastic visibility, and it's where all the big Halloween parties will be.

When will the store officially open? We don't know yet, but we will keep you updated when we find out. We'd say that the middle of September is a good guess.

Start thinking about your Halloween costume now because you will need to stock up.
