Selena Gomez ‘Feeling A Lot Stronger’ After Mental Health Hospitalization
Selena Gomez is doing well after checking herself in to a mental health facility.
The musician was spotted for the first time since her release and, according to ET Online, is "in good spirits, feeling a lot stronger and happy to be spending time with family and friends." Gomez, 26, was photographed for the first time since she sought treatment in October, and was all smiles as she spent time with friends Bailee Madison and Connar Franklin.
Madison shared the pictures, which were snapped during a recent trip to Big Bear Lake in California. The trio of "Snow buds" appeared to have had a good time during the mini-vacation. Pictures suggest they went tubing during their stay.
Gomez was admitted to a mental health facility in October. At the time, ET reported that physical health issues, likely related to her Lupus diagnosis and recent kidney transplant, as well as frustration led the musician to seek help.
"It's very hard for Selena because she loves to work and stay busy," a source said. "Unfortunately, the amount of time spent at the hospital, without much improvement created anxiety for Selena, and made her extremely emotional, causing her to have panic attacks."
The insider continued, "Selena and her family decided it was best to have her go back to the East Coast mental health facility she went to earlier in the year, when she was feeling depressed and anxious."
