One in Five Americans to Get Second Job for the Holidays – Survey of the Day
The holidays can be expensive, and this year 21 percent of Americans plan to get a second job to help pay for all the gifts and travel costs that go with the season.
That is in addition to the 12 percent of respondents to CouponCabin.com’s poll of 2,466 adults who have already grabbed themselves a second job to help deal with holiday expenses.
According to the survey, 45 percent of Americans will have trouble affording gifts this year. Of those, 68 percent say they will struggle more than they did last year, while 28 percent say their difficulty rounding up the funds for gifts will be about the same.
