Rihanna incorporates calisthenics, martial arts and, of course, plenty of dancing into her workouts — and a lot of each. “We focus on the core muscles, and we do a ton of repetitions,” Nunez told the mag. That explains how her stomach stays so flat!

Diet and nutrition play a big role in Rihanna’s physique. While she may enjoy a few hedonistic nights (and days) every now and then, she’s very conscious about what goes into her body — the girl needs a ton of energy to entertain like that! ”It’s more about feeding her to perform,” Nunez said, so Rihanna sticks with protein-rich foods and steers away from starches. Rihanna’s typical meal consists of fish and vegetables.

However, Nunez admits that though Rihanna’s got a great work ethic, she’s a difficult client to train. “Working with an artist like Rihanna has different demands than most,” Nunez said. “We train when she’s ready … even if we’re on the road and it’s 2AM.
