Real-Life Hamburglar Steals from McDonald’s Drive-Thru
On Sunday, a young man seemingly drew inspiration from the mischievous McDonaldLand character Hamburglar and stole a $20 bag of food from a McDonald’s drive-thru in Maine. It’s unclear whether he shouted “Robble robble!” while escaping.
According to police, the man ran between a car and the takeout window and snatched food as it was being handed to a driver. From there, he headed to the parking lot of a rival fast food restaurant where he proceeded to eat.
Police eventually located the hungry criminal, but he fled into the woods before he could be caught. Currently, he remains at large, so keep a watchful eye on your Big Macs and Quarter Pounders.
This isn’t the first time the chain has been plagued by a burger thief. In November of last year, another man broke into a McDonald’s and actually cooked himself a hamburger and fries. It’s safe to say that both of these individuals are “lovin’ it.”
