On Saturday, a raft reportedly went over House Rock on the Gallatin River, dumping some of its occupants. Two of the rafters, according to a press release from the Gallatin Media Center, were carried downriver, while one remained in the raft with no paddles.

Rescuers from the Gallatin County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue from Big Sky and Bozeman were dispatched to assist them. The incident happened just after noon on Saturday.

One of the rafters was transported to Bozeman Deaconess with a neck injury. The other two rafters were uninjured. All three rafters were experienced raft guides and were wearing appropriate gear. Montana Whitewater helped to retrieve the raft.
