New Owners of Great Northern Brewery Planning Expansion

About two months ago, we reported that Great Northern Brewery in Whitefish had closed down for good, and we were wondering what would end up taking its place. Now, we still don't know exactly what's going to happen with the building - whether it'll keep the Great Northern name or start fresh - but it seems like they're definitely going to still be in the service business.

The new owners of Great Northern are planning an expansion of the building, which will include a rooftop deck and a service bar in addition to increasing the square footage on the second floor. They also intend to extend their service hours until 2 AM once they're up and running.

A public hearing will be held on April 16th to discuss the proposal (which I imagine will be online, due to social distancing). By early May, we should start to know more about what they'll be doing with the building.
