Sometimes, you just want to relax on vacation. One of the best places to get some r&r is a nice resort, where everything is at your disposal and no planning ahead is required. Luckily, Montana has quite a few top-notch resorts.

Travel and Leisure came out with a list of the 5 Best Resorts in Montana, and most of these places are a western-themed dream. All of these resorts might seem similar, but they offer different experiences and packages.

The resort rated the highest was The Ranch at Rock Creek in Philipsburg. This resort is all-inclusive, and one of the few resorts open to families with kids. One of the neat aspects of the ranch is that they have historical buildings on site and cater to weddings. That would be one epic wedding location.

If you are a fan of the TV show Yellowstone, head to Darby and check out Triple Creek Ranch. Another all-inclusive resort, this spot is open year-round and offers some unique experiences. I would go there in the winter and try dog sledding or be a part of the cattle drive.

The only other resort I would recommend checking out is Lone Mountain Ranch in Big Sky, Montana. This resort is close to Bozeman, and has a highly regarded restaurant. Plus, if you go there in the winter, you're close to one of the best ski resorts in the United States.

Listen, a stay at a resort can seem like a hefty chunk of change, but with everything included, it's not a bad deal.
