Walmart is everywhere in Montana. These stores can be a lifeline to many locals looking to buy groceries, clothes, or goods for an affordable price. Many families depend on the low prices to feed their families.

Montana has 16 stores statewide. These stores not only serve their local communities, but people will drive a long distance to these stores on the weekend to stock up for a few weeks or a month.

Is there a downside to Walmart? There is one thing.

Most Walmart locations nationwide used to have a fast food restaurant inside their stores.

For years, you could do your shopping and grab a quick bite to eat or dinner at the McDonald's or Subway inside Walmart.

That changed a few years ago. Every Walmart shut down these restaurants due to COVID.

Customers would love to see something return to Walmart locations in Montana.

Walmart is thinking the same thing.

USA Today reports Walmart has agreed with Wienerschnitzel to open locations in several stores on the West Coast.

The fast food chain is popular for its affordable hot dogs, burgers, and other fare that customers love to enjoy.

Wienerschnitzel will open in states like Washington, Colorado, and Nevada, but what about Montana?

These stores are to open by Fall 2025, and if successful, Wienerschnitzel could expand to more locations in early 2026.

If Walmart wanted to choose something a little more local for Montana's locations, we would love to see maybe one of the several Mexican food chains take over.
