Does Montana State Really Need Luxury Student Housing?
We feel this new complex might cause housing problems in the Gallatin Valley.
The housing problem in Montana is growing, and it's not slowing down.
If you want to own a home in Montana, you need a high-paying job. Some folks get paid decently but still have to share apartments, condos, and townhomes with roommates because the cost of living is high.
The Bozeman area has a shortage of rental properties due to several reasons. The short-term rental market is a massive business, and Montana State students take up properties and apartments during the year.

That's not the student's fault. Montana State has struggled to keep up with the surging student population. They've built multiple apartment complexes and dorms to try and combat the issue, but it still lingers.
Is There Help On The Way?... Sort Of
The Bozeman Real Estate Group announced a new apartment development is coming for Montana State students.
This complex is set to be on 11th Avenue and will be across from Stadium View Apartments.
Why is this a big deal? This development will be a luxury apartment complex for students.
The complex will feature high-end amenities like a pet wash, a year-round spa, pizza ovens, a fitness center, a game lounge, a clubhouse, and more.
There aren't any details on how much each unit will cost, but we imagine the cost is insane.
We know this is student housing, but if you aren't financially stable, there's no way you can afford to stay at a place like this.
This complex might drive more students to find other housing in the Bozeman area, further depleting the rental market.
The new complex will finish construction in 2025.
