Montanans and Private Property
Don't mess with Montanan's private property.
This fact is accurate when it comes to someone's home.
It doesn't matter if you live in an apartment, home, or ranch because locals want to protect their place from intruders.
Some folks trust their locks, some folks have home security systems, and some trust the stick the door.
Some folks also have firearms for home defense. Big Sky Country has more guns per capita than any other state.
Everyone has their way of protecting your home.
Those are all rational ways to protect your domain, but some people try to take it up a notch.

As you can see, this man wonders if he can use DIY landmines to protect his home from intruders.
That's extreme.
We know there are a lot of doomsday preppers and extremists in Montana, but DIY landmines seem much even for Big Sky Country.
Plus, we believe those are highly illegal.
This question should be another reason you should never step foot on someone else's property in Montana.
Still, what a wild question to ask on Quora, of all places.
