It's not every day in Montana you get to see a special meteorological event like this.

The Space Weather Prediction Center says that on Thursday, May 17, in some parts of Montana, we will be able to see a G1 geomagnetic storm which will create an aurora borealis.

This event occurred once last summer in Montana, and if you can get to a spot where you aren't around city lights it's beautiful.

The catch? You'll have to stay up pretty late to see this one.
