This moves makes total sense with everything going on with the COVID-19 pandemic in the whole state of Montana.

406 MT Sports is reporting that the Montana High School Association has made the decision to instead of holding the state wrestling championships in one location for all classes that there will be four locations on the weekend of March 5th-6th, 2021.

That means Class AA, A and B-C will be held at different locations plus, the first ever girls state wrestling championship will happen at another location too.

They haven't decided to locations yet but we will probably find out within the next month where that will be. The other issue that they need to figure out is attendance. They usually have pretty big crowds come to state but with the rise in cases they might have to limit the amount of people at the state championships.

Wrestling is a pretty huge sport in Montana and very competitive. Bozeman High has been of the best wrestling programs recently and looks to keep that going this year. With many of the big invitationals already cancelled this year, essentially divisionals and state will be the only big tournaments for wrestlers this year.

We haven't even gotten to the start of winter sports yet and there are still some huge questions that still need to be answered and hopefully they will soon. Anything can change within the next few months.
