On Saturday, May 2, Manhattan resident Erin Wells will be running a full marathon. Wells will run 26.2 miles up and down one street in Manhattan to support Manhattan families in need.

Since all spring and summer races have either been canceled or postponed, Wells decided to run in her own neighborhood to help put healthy food on the tables of local families in need.

100% of money raised will be given to Manhattan community members in need of support for groceries and meals, with help from the Manhattan Rotary Club as well as the L&F Market.

Here's how you can help.

  • Make a donation on the official GoFundMe page.
  • Show up Saturday (May 2) morning between 7:00 a.m. and noon at the corner of Broadway and Fulton and make a cash donation in person.
  • You can also come cheer, walk, jog, run a block, a mile, 5 miles, or whatever you are comfortable with.

Broadway will be closed during that time so there will be plenty of space for Social Distancing and lots of space for keeping six feet apart.
