Kanye West and Kim Kardashian Sell Lemonade and Yeezys For A Good Cause
The Kardashians often get a reputation for being out of touch, but Kim Kardashian and Kanye West are changing that.
The power couple set up a lemonade stand in their Hidden Hills, California neighborhood to sell lemonade and Yeezy sneakers, according to Us Weekly. The pair were donating the proceeds from each sale of both lemonade and the Yeezy Boost 700 VS Geode, which released on Saturday, to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). According to Us, Kardashian was seen manning the stand with her kids.
"Kim was walking around and holding Chicago and Chicago was eating veggie sticks," a source said. "She seemed really happy."
The insider added, "Kanye was super social with fans and shook hands and took pictures and was in a great mood."
Kardashian and West were joined by some of their famous family members. Khloe Kardashian and True Thompson shared photos and videos from their time at the stand. Khloe was wearing a black sweater and gold hoops, according to Us.
"Khloe looked happy and was in good spirits," the source said, adding that she was holding True and being a "super cute mom."
The stands are part of West's partnership with Adidas. The program worked with different families to create homemade, pop-up Yeezy Lemonade Stands across the United States. All proceeds from each stand will be donated to NAMI.
West has been outspoken about his struggles with mental illness in the past. In June, he appeared on Big Boy TV, revealing that he was "diagnosed with a mental condition" at 39.
"I think everybody got something," he added. "But like I said on the album [Ye], it's not a disability. It's a superpower."
It's unclear at this time how much has been raised.
