Dawson's Creek fans dreaming of a reunion will have to press on without Jen, Joey and the gang, Joshua Jackson says.

Jackson, who played the WB show's Pacey from 1998 to 2003, said in a preview of an interview from today's (December 13) Ellen Degeneres Show episode that there are a few reasons the Creek will remain in the past. First, Michelle William's character, Jen, died in the series finale. Next, Jackson has a pretty strong feeling nobody really wants to see the fictional Massachusetts teens all grown up.

"I's been a very long time, and I think, for anybody who was a fan of Dawson's, to actually see the four of us on camera again might be a little bit shocking and kind of heartbreaking," he said. "We're not cute kids anymore. I mean, we're holding up okay, but I think if you put the four of us now next to the four of us then, it might be a little shocking."

Katie Holmes shared a similar sentiment in a December 7 interview with Sirius XM's Just Jenny Show, noting "I don’t think we’re going to do a reunion...I think that the charm of the show was Kevin Williamson’s writing and it was of that time and it gave teenagers this voice. It was a very, very special time — a special show and I loved every minute of it."
