Artists are just like ordinary people when they're out of the spotlight. Despite having a tedious workload consisting of tours, studio sessions and a plethora of interviews, all they want to do is turn up on occasion, especially for their birthdays. Well, it appears that Jeremih got a little too turnt up during his birthday celebration because the singer enjoyed much of it inside the slammer.

According to TMZ, "The Birthday Song" crooner was arrested Friday (July 17) -- his actual birthday -- after being pulled over by California Highway Patrol at approximately 2:15 a.m. Cops took him in and booked the singer for misdemeanor DUI -- he was likely drunk. Despite turning 28 last week, Jeremih had to enjoy the rest of his birthday festivities inside a jail cell. His bail was set at $15,000 and he was released several hours later.

If you recall late last year, Jeremih caused some ruckus at a Fuddruckers in Billings, Mont., with his entourage. The "Don't Tell Em" singer was accused of harassing the staff because he deemed the restaurant management as racists. He destroyed a fryer in the process likely as a result of him and his crew throwing items at the employees. The group left the restaurant and drove away after the altercation. No arrests were made.

A month later, he was arrestedonce more for disorderly conduct at Newark airport in New Jersey while trying to catch his flight. The singer was attempting to board a U.S. Airways flight to Phoenix, Ariz., after the jet doors were already closed and locked. A man in Jeremih’s entourage attempted to pry open the closed door to let him and another person inside, which is against the airport’s boarding rules.

Hopefully, Jeremih changes his tune because the term "R&B thug" is slowly starting to hover over his name.
