Running a restaurant is one of the most difficult jobs in existence. The price of ingredients and supplies is constantly changing, and as a result, so are menu prices. Owning a restaurant in Bozeman has its own unique challenges, and recently a restaurant that has been open for less than two years closed permanently.

Unique East Coast Inspired Restaurant Closes in Bozeman

Even if you live in Bozeman, the food scene is hard to keep track of. It seems like right when you hear about a restaurant closing, another one celebrates a grand opening. The city's rapid growth has brought businesses from all over the country to Bozeman. For many, the variety of food options is a good thing, but too much of a good thing can be a bad thing.

In March 2023, we published an article about a new Mexican Restaurant opening in Bozeman. Now, that restaurant is closing, according to Google, which has the restaurant listed as "permanently closed." La Esquina was located in the Cannery District, and Bozeman was home to the restaurant's 4th location, and the only location outside of New York.

The location in Bozeman has also been removed from the restaurant's website. We stopped by the Cannery District, and everything is still inside of the building, but the doors are locked. In less than two years, La Esquina is no more. A reason for the closure is unknown, but it sounds like most people aren't too upset about it. Here are a few comments from The Real Ask Bozeman Page on Facebook.
