Legendary Montana Hotel Sold To Bozeman Family
Montana has it's fair share of historic buildings and places.
Butte is home to the Dumas Brothel and Pekin Noodle Parlor. Bozeman has the Hotel Baxter and the Story Mansion. Missoula has The Wilma and Fort Missoula. Plus you can't forget about the Cathedral of Saint Helena or the Anaconda Smelter Stack just to name a few.
However, it seems that one of the most historic places in Montana has been sold. Here's the good news, it was sold from one Montana family to another.
Which historic Montana building sold?
Located in the the town of Three Forks is the Sacajawea Hotel. The structure has been part of the Three Forks landscape since 1910 and has gone through a few different owners. The hotel is known to be one of the finest in the state. Like many hotels of it's day it was built by the railroad to serve those coming through the area.
The hotel isn't large, but it has kept its charm for over a 100 years and is a popular choice for weddings and those looking to just get away. The hotel has two bars and a wonderful restaurant called Pompey's Grill.
Who bought the Sacajawea Hotel in Three Forks?
The new owners of the Sacajawea live in Bozeman and are in the Hotel and RV Park business with several different locations around Montana. The Folkvord Family, who formally owned the property announced that the new owners where from Montana and understood Montana hospitality.

The new owners plan to keep all of the employees of the hotel.
