When it comes to food, we all have our likes and dislikes.

While I wouldn't consider myself a picky eater, there are a few things I won't touch. I'm not a fan of asparagus, cilantro, or cantaloupe. However, one of my favorite dishes is one that many people can't stand...liver and onions.

Here in Montana, we're known for a few culinary creations, but a couple might raise an eyebrow outside of The Treasure State.

While I've never tried this dish, it's popular and I've been told they taste like chicken. Each year "The Testical Festival" over at Montana State University raises thousands of dollars for local organizations.

This Norwegian dish is popular in eastern Montana, especially around the holidays. So what is lefse? It's a flatbread that's made from riced potatoes and wheat flour. While there are several different way to enjoy lefse, the most popular seems to be with butter, cinnamon, and sugar.

Pemmican.

For those wondering what is pemmican, it's a bit like jerky mixed with a couple of other ingredients. Take the dried meat and pound it into a powder, then add dried berries, and animal fat to form a loaf.
