According to the social media site CHCTravels, the weirdest food you can find in Montana is the very popular dish pasties. Pasties are not only delicious, but they're also practical. They gained fame during the mining boom in Butte as something easy to eat.
There is some debate over their origin, but one thing is for sure: they're a Montana favorite.
I mean, what's not to love? Meat? Check. Potato? Check. Pasty Crust? Check. To me, it's like a hand-held pot pie, and I, for one, love them. Here in Montana, there are a handful of places where you can get the real deal, and like anything else, pasty lovers all claim that their favorite spot is the best.
