Here in Montana, you are either a Cat or a Griz, and while it's one of the oldest rivalries west of the Mississippi, it seems one school is head and shoulders above the other, at least in some categories.

We're all familiar with the Brawl of the Wild on the football field, basketball, and volleyball courts, and around the track. However, when you compare the two schools there's more than just a sports rivalry. There are graduation rates, academics, greek life, and overall quality. Cat fans will tell you MSU is better, while Griz fans will hold on to the claim that UM is the dominant University.

According to one source, there's no doubt which University is the winner. Well, in one category anyway.

Is MSU better than UM?

Stats show that MSU has a higher graduation rate as well as a higher GPA per student.  However, that's not all Montana State University is better at. We're also more fun.

According to 247 Sports and Ranker, MSU is ranked among the best Colleges and Universities to have fun.

The website broke it down across the country MSU not only made the list, but they winded up being in the Top 30. I'm not sure if the University of Montana made the list, I stopped looking after a while. However, MSU was ranked right after Texas A&M.
