Montana/Montana State Football Tickets Could Cost You Thousands
By now, you know that either Montana or Montana State will play in the National Championship Game in Nashville.
The semi-final game between Cat/Griz happens this Saturday in Bozeman and has become one of the hottest tickets in the country. First, we all know about the rivalry. For over 100 years, these two teams have battled in a yearly tradition called the Brawl of the Wild. It is the most anticipated football game of the year, and on the line is not only bragging rights, but the Great Divide Trophy.

For the second year in a row, the Cats won the game, this time as the away team playing at Washington-Grizzly Stadium in Missoula. In fact, the Cats were the only team to beat the Griz this year, and that victory made Montana State the Big Sky Conference Champions.
However, the playoffs are an entirely new season, and the two teams will meet each other once again, only this time, it's the semi-final game with the winner going to Nashville to play in the National Championship Game. It's the first time in their history that they will play each other in the playoffs.
Montana State is the favorite, with the Opta Supercomputer giving the Cats an almost 50 percent chance of winning the National Championship, but let's be honest, it's hard to beat a team 3 times in a row.
How big is the Montana/Montana State game?
It's huge. In fact, Montana State put out a statement saying that due to high demand from season ticket holders, they were canceling the pre-sale and general admission ticket sales.
So, what does that mean?
Well, it means that if you're not a season ticket holder, nor a student, and you really want to go to the game, you're going to have to pay big bucks. According to Seat Geek, which is a verified resale platform, the cheapest ticket as of this writing was a single ticket for 739.
Looking at the available seats on the seating map, you can expect to pay over one thousand dollars depending on where you're seated. In fact, if you want to be close to the field, they have tickets going for over 4800 dollars right now.
5 grand a ticket. That's incredible.
