Loved Bozeman Business Forced To Close After 23 Years
It's always so disheartening to see a business have to close their doors forever. Especially when it's been serving the community for more than 20 years.
On Tuesday, September 24th, we said goodbye to the Montana Science Center. This wasn't an easy decision, but unfortunately we are seeing this more often, especially after COVID.
The Montana Science Center served the Bozeman community for 23 years in many different ways.

The Montana Science Center worked diligently to help young children learn to love science through workshops and kids camps.
Like many businesses, financial hardships have made it difficult to keep the doors open. Considering the amount of nonprofits in Bozeman, it's hard to fund them all, especially with the costs of operating in Bozeman increasing.
Let's face it, when a business relies heavily on donations, it's hard to be able to provide high wages and great benefits. It's a sad reality.
The fact that Montana has more nonprofits per capita than any other state in the country, doesn't help when it comes to survival.
Montana Science Center attempted to keep their doors open by holding emergency fundraisers, hiring consultants, cutting hours, and leaving some paid positions, unfilled.
We want to thank the Montana Science Center for all they have done for the community, and a huge thank you to the volunteers and donors that made it possible to serve the Bozeman area for 23 years.
Perhaps in the future, there will be another opportunity for kids to learn about science and STEM education. Good luck to everyone at the Montana Science Center.
