Is Same-Sex Marriage In Danger Of Being Banned In Montana?
I realize this is a tender subject, and in no way do I wish to hurt or offend anyone with what I write. However, there is talk across the state about the possibility of legislation banning same-sex marriage here in Montana.

Over the last few years, we've seen politics turn ugly. I suppose it's always been a bit dirty, but nowadays, if you don't agree with someone or their views, we blast those people on social media, cut them out of our lives, and in some extreme cases, refuse to attend family functions.
That seems ridiculous to me. Granted, I have my views, and I'm passionate about them, but I'm also an adult and realize that not everyone has to agree with me on certain issues, and that's ok.

I bring this up because there is a lawmaker in Michigan who is making headlines for trying to get same-sex marriage overturned in his state. According to NBC News, that's not the only state that's happening in. Nine other states, including Montana, have lawmakers looking to overturn the law that allows same-sex marriage. Both Idaho and North Dakota have passed the measure in their state legislatures.
I say, live and let live.
What folks do or who they love isn't a big concern for me. Just like I don't want anyone telling me how to live my life, I feel I have zero right to tell someone else how they should live theirs. I try to focus on the things that we have in common and then build from there.
The question is, though, what do Montanans think? Are they for it or against it?
Montana is a mix of both liberal and conservative views. While the state has tended to lean more towards the conservative side lately, historically, Montanans don't like being told what to do or how to think.
One of the issues is that we tend to "package" things together. Once we do that, then the media and all the other talking heads try to force-feed it down everyone's throats, and while you might be ok with this or that but not of everything on "the agenda", we then throw labels at people, branding them either "good" or "bad".
