If I was to ask what's the most dangerous thing in Montana, most would say either wildlife or tourists.

And while that is a bit tongue and cheek, there is also some truth to it as well. Sure, we have some dangerous towns here in Big Sky Country. I mean, it's not like some of the big cities like LA, Chicago, or Detroit, but there is a certain about of crime and violence that takes place in Montana.

How dangerous are Montana's towns?

Here is the truth, a few of these towns on the list might not come as a big surprise, but a few others just may. While it's true that some towns have a bit of a reputation, others come across as a good place to raise a family and call home.

I should also say that I've lived in some bigger cities where there were neighborhoods that I would absolutely night drive to at night, and I don't feel like Montana has any neighborhoods like that, however, there are certain areas that do have high crime rates, and those areas have made the Top 10 list.
