Bozeman High Schools Offers New Course In The Trades
For years, we were taught that the only way you could be successful was by going to college, getting a degree, and then finding a job. And while this has proven to be a trusted formula for success, it's not the only one.
Over the last few years, there has been a push here in Montana and across the country for folks to get into the trades. Plumbing, utilities, and construction are all industries that are looking for individuals with the skills or are willing to train the right people. Oh, and there is some really good money to be made.
That's why the fact that both Bozeman and Gallatin High Schools have developed a curriculum to teach some of these trades is so exciting.

Kenyon Noble, along with other local businesses, has partnered up with both high schools to be a part of the Construction Academy. Now, you might be thinking, what's that, and why have I never heard of it?
The Construction Academy is a program that was put together by Karl Schwartz, Matt Bakken, and other individuals to offer a program to teach students.
What will the Construction Academy offer?
Students will learn the planning process, how to work with the tools, the building process, and will be part of the final project. The students are hands-on from start to finish. Another huge factor is that the folks over at Mikwalkee Tool have donated all the equipment needed to work on the different projects.

The Construction Academy will be offered this fall at both Bozeman and Gallatin High Schools.
