Whether you love skiing or snowboarding in the winter, the cost of going up to the mountain can cost you a lot of money.

The website HomeToGo made a list of the Top 50 Ski Destinations Ranked on Affordability.

What does that mean? They wanted to know how much a day at any ski resort would cost and that included the cost of ski rentals, lift ticket, lunch and accommodations.

According to the list, Montana has two resorts ranked in the Top 50. Big Sky Resort is ranked 43rd with a day experience costing just over $300.

The more affordable resort in Montana is Whitefish Mountain Resort (aka Big Mountain) in Whitefish landing at the #12 spot.

If you are looking for a place to go skiing or snowboarding this winter, you might want to travel to northwest Montana and check out Whitefish.
