Golden Globes Yay or Nay?

So, I watched the 72nd Golden Globes last night because I am a fan of not only the movies and amazing television shows, but Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are usually hilarious. Last night, though, I was a little disappointed in their performance. There were some parts that were hilarious and great, but some of it was also very mean spirited and just not funny. I loved George Clooney's speech when he was given the Lifetime Achievement Award and all the other speeches from winners were amazing and very moving.

But I just thought it could be better. Am I wrong or not am I just looking forward to the Academy Awards?
