‘Godzilla’ TV Spot Teases the Unstoppable Monster, Plus New Photos Surface
Who do you think you're kidding? Godzilla can't be stopped, at least that's the message we're getting in the brand-new TV spot for the Gareth Edwards-directed film starring a buttload of stars, including 'Avengers 2' twins Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen.
Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures debuted the first official 'Godzilla' TV spot online, and although it's brief, there's plenty of new footage, flaming trains and devastation to witness. We also get a brief new look at the newly rebooted monster -- if we piece together all the bits and pieces from previous trailers, images and posters, we'll get that full shot of the beast in action with no blurry shots.
While Godzilla is the real star, the human cast is filled out with the likes of 'Breaking Bad' star Bryan Cranston, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen (who already reunited to film 'Avengers 2' as new characters Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch), Oscar-nominated Sally Hawkins ('Blue Jasmine') and 'Inception' star Ken Watanabe. Not too long ago, the studio debuted a viral site for 'Godzilla,' allowing fans to traverse the files of Muto, the mysterious organization that seems to know more about the beast than it's letting on. If you don't feel like diving deep into the site, we've included the new images of the cast below:
Described as "an epic rebirth to Toho's iconic Godzilla, this spectacular adventure, from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures, pits the world's most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity's scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence."
'Godzilla' will hit theaters this May 16.
