Montana native Mike Person, who signed with the San Francisco 49ers last year, just extended his contract for three years, with a pretty nice sum of $9 million.

Person is from Glendive originally and played four seasons at left and right tackle at Montana State University from 2007 through 2010. He's been involved with several NFL teams since then. The 49ers initially drafted him in 2011, before releasing him a year later, when he ended up on the Seattle Seahawks. Over the years, he's played for the Falcons, the Chiefs and the Colts, before finally landing back with the 49ers. And this time, obviously, it seems like they want to keep him around.

On the team website, 49ers GM John Lych said this about Person: “Mike earned the respect of everyone in our building for the way he battled through injury last season to start all 16 games and perform the way he did”
