Thursday, February 17th, Hip Hop with Del the Funky Homosapien, Bukue One & Serendipity Project. Lodged into the hip-hop scene in 1990, Del started off his emceeing career writing lyrics for his cousin, Ice Cube. A stint with Elekra records produced critically acclaimed albums (“I Wish My Brother George Was Here) and “No need for Alarm”). Del, along with Casual, Pep Love and Domino became a founding member of the Hieroglyphics crew. With Dan "the Automator" Nakamura, Blur's Damon Albarn, Tom Tom Club's Tona Weymouth, (Buena Vista Social Club’s) Ibrahim Ferrer and Kid Koala working together, the album was an immediate hit. Del's lead vocals on the smash single "Clint Eastwood" helped the Gorillaz sell over 5 million records worldwide.

A true Bay Area original, Tion Torrence (aka Bukue One) can, in a single leap, pull a 360’ kickflip, throw up a graffiti banner, and spit a tight verse. Tickets $14.
