Come And Celebrate Montana’s History At Free Event In Livingston

Who doesn't love a walk down memory lane? Or, a glimpse into how things used to be back in the "old days".

You will certainly want to mark this free event down on your calendar if you love Montana history. Living History Day at Yellowstone Gateway Museum. The Museum will have lots of events for folks of all ages and is an excellent opportunity for the younger generation to not only learn about the old ways but to actually see them in action.

The event will take place at the museum on Saturday, June 4th from 10 am to 4 pm.  According to the press release from the museum, some of the events will be blacksmithing, flint knapping, and cordage making.

Not only that but there will also be traditional Native American games taking place on the museum lawn. Plus, livestock from one of our very own Montana ranches. This is a great chance for parents or grandparents to take the kids for not only a "teaching moment", but also to have some fun. Plus, you don't have to worry about lunch as there will be burgers and hotdogs available for purchase

The Yellowstone Gateway Museum first opened in 1977 and has 50 thousand different items, plus lots of history about Livingston and the surrounding area.

The museum is located at 118 West Chinook Street in Livingston and is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am to 5 pm.
