Britney Spears and Kevin Federline’s Child Support Case Rages On: Find Out How Much She Made Last Year
Kevin Federline's quest for a bigger piece of Britney Spears' income continued this week, with the former couple's lawyers, Laura Wasser and Mark Vincent Kaplan, squaring off in court on Friday, August 3.
Unfortunately, "nothing substantive was decided" following the closed hearing, and further "hearings regarding Kevin's request for child support have been put off until a later date," TMZ reports.
According to financial records obtained by Entertainment Weekly, the Piece of Me performer made $56,562,912.38 in 2017, thanks in part to a number of highly successful licensing deals (including the pop star's many perfumes) and a hit Las Vegas residency show.
Spears' yearly expenses, totaling $384,126, included dry cleaning, meals, entertainment and insurance.
Federline, who receives $20K a month in child support for his and Spears' two children, Sean Preston, 12, and Jayden James, 11, filed court documents back in May requesting an increase in payments.
The backup dancer and DJ's lawyer reportedly demanded $60K a month, which sources say both Spears and her conservator, her father Jamie Spears, refused to pay.
Spears and Federline were married on September 18, 2004. Their divorce was finalized on July 30, 2007.
