Bozeman Area Events: Last Full Week of Summer Edition
Yes! There's everything from trail work to the Testicle Festival...Drive-in movies to community potlucks. Enjoy the last full week of Summer with a packed calendar of fun area events.
Thursday, September 16th: Painted Hills Trail Work hosted by the Southwest Montana Mountain Bike Association - volunteer from 6pm to 8pm. "Volunteers will work on improving drainage, rehabbing tread, and more. No experience is necessary and SWMMBA will provide all tools." See the above link for further details and waiver info.
Thursday, September 16th: Harvest Party at Bodhi Farms - (13624 South Cottonwood Road, Bozeman) Event is free to attend. Food and beverages available for purchase. "Live music, a handful of local vendors, our organic produce stand and great food in a beautiful outdoor setting." Bodhi Farms is a 35 acre organic permaculture farm and eco resort.
Friday, September 17th: AGR's Testicle Festival with Casey Donahew & Randall King - at the Brick Breeden Fieldhouse on the MSU campus. Rocky Mountain Oysters and country music to benefit: Montana FFA, Montana 4-H, Gallatin Valley YMCA, and Heroes and Horses. A tradition for over 30 years! Doors at 7pm. Show at 8pm. Friday, September 17th: Thrivin' at the Drive-in at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds - Gates open at 8PM, showtime is 8:30PM. Family-friendly, free event with the movie "Cars". The allotted free tickets are currently 'sold out'. If more tickets become available we'll update here!
Friday, September 17th and Saturday, September 18th: The Williams' Effect Weekend at Bogert Park - presented by Forward Montana. Friday night (5pm to 9pm), a block party, live music, and a celebration of the 25 Under 25 Awardees. Saturday from 10am to 3pm, "the Montana Youth Organizing Summit, bringing together activists, organizers, dreamers and doers from across the state." Saturday, September 18th: Magpie Fair in Clarkston - (11616 Crystal Mountain Rd, Three Forks) Happening 12pm to 7pm. Free to attend. Community potluck, bring your best dish! Vendors with goods, food and beverages for purchase. "Clarkston's own Arts and Crafts show, Farmers Market and Fire Department Pig Roast fundraiser." Raffles, too.
Saturday, September 18th: Gallatin Ice "Gongshow" at Haynes Pavilion - Starts at 6pm. "The Gongshow or "Gloves On Gala" is the season opener Hockey Party at the Haynes Pavilion at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds. Doors open at 6pm with a band, games, a live auction, a raffle, and fun times with Bozeman's thriving hockey community." Tickets are $20 and available at the link above. Event hosted by Gallatin Ice.
Saturday, September 18th: The Armory’s 80th Anniversary Bash - (24 West Mendenhall, downtown Bozeman) FREE live music event, happening 5pm to 8pm. Paige & The Peoples Band live at the Armory Music Hall. Light bites and brews available to celebrate the 80th birthday of a Bozeman architectural landmark.
