This has been a long time coming for the men's basketball team, and we couldn't be more proud of them. They earned this.

The Montana State Men's Basketball team beat the Southern Utah Eagles Tuesday night 76 to 71. With that win, the Montana State men's basketball team has won their first regular-season Big Sky Conference Championship since the 2001-2002 season. Amazing work team!

Montana State's record in conference is 12-6 and still has two games remaining at home. Overall, the squad is 22-7, which is quite impressive. Not bad for a team that was supposed to finish at best fourth in the conference in preseason predictions.

This Montana State men's basketball team is one of the best teams I have ever seen since I have moved to Bozeman. These men have gone out and proved all the doubters wrong.

Plus, this win and wrapping up the number one seed in the Big Sky Conference gives the Bobcats a crucial advantage in the Big Sky Conference Tournament next week in Boise, Idaho. If they win the Big Sky Conference Tournament, the Montana State Bobcats can reach the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1996.

Danny Sprinkle is only in his second year coaching the Montana State men's basketball team and has shown incredible improvement with his squad. If he can muster this Bobcat squad to the NCAA Tournament, that will be another notch in his coaching talent.

Montana State men's basketball still has two home games left in the season. Thursday, March 3rd against Sacramento State and then Senior Day on Saturday, March 5th against Nothern Colorado.

Let's go out and support our Bobcats!
