Alicia Keys Premieres ‘Girl on Fire’ With Nicki Minaj + Gabby Douglas at 2012 VMAs

Alicia Keys was blazing hot as she premiered her brand new single and album title track 'Girl on Fire' at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards tonight (Sept. 6.) She began the song singing in the dark, illuminated only by the red lights on the stage. She was also standing up while playing the piano and wore her newly shorn locks slicked back. She was hotter than the lava of a thousand volcanoes. Yeah right she was!

During the second verse of the song, Keys was grooving in place and running her hands over her curvy body. It was a subtle, sexy move for the newish mom, who brought her son Egypt to the ceremony. The camera even panned to her hubby Swizz Beatz, who was boasted the adorbs Egypt on his shoulders during the perf so his son could get a good, unobstructed view of Mommy. He looked like a happy tot, sucking on that binky!

Mid-song, Keys said, "Nicki, light it up baby!" and that's when Nicki Minaj appeared on stage, delivering her raps close to the crowd and while looking down and wearing a black cloak. She looks monk-like. And cute.

Superstar Gabby Douglas of the Fab 5 -- you know, the Women's Gymnastic Team from the Olympics -- joined Keys and Minaj on stage and showed off her signature athletic moves while wearing leather leggings! What a little rock star. Love her. Backflips, jumps, body contortions, you name it, Gabby did it!

Keys and Minaj didn't need dancers to accompany them when they had Gabby.
