February 21, 2015, was a snowy, cold, and low-visibility day here in Bozeman, Montana. I don't remember exactly what I was doing, but I do remember my phone suddenly blowing up because Bozeman had made national news.

The Kardashians (Kim, Khloe, Kylie, and Kim's baby North West), it turns out, had just had a car accident in Bozeman, and it was instantly national news. The accident happened on Jackrabbit, just north of where the new Town Pump sits today. Khloe was driving, with Kylie in the passengers seat and Kim in the backseat.

The accident was caused when a semi-truck drove by their car going in the opposite direction and splattered snow on the GMC Yukon windshield they were riding in. This caused Khloe to turn the wheel and slide into the ditch. Jackrabbit at that time was a two-lane highway in that location.

Kim was later quoted on People.com as saying, “When stuff like this happens it makes you put everything into perspective: life, family, friends, what’s important to you,” the 30-year-old says. “Things could change in a blink of an eye. Our family has learned that tons of times. We definitely have angels surrounding us today.”

At the time of the accident, the Kardashians were headed to the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport to head home after shooting an episode of their TV show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" in Big Sky.

You can watch the episode, which includes the Bozeman car accident, on Hulu.
